The images everyone has posted thus far have made me really want this lens. I think with the price being $150, I'm going to have to get it. I have you all to blame (luckily it's not a lens that breaks the bank).

I seriously considered keeping my 5D Mark II just for this lens though.

From my limited useage i'd say the 40STM is going to be a classic.

I've not pointed it at anything meaningful, so here's a couple of cat shots, no editing other than changing to srgb.

What can I say, my cat likes a scratch

Also I need to remember to use other focus points or recompose ;-)

@Gunzorro, not my photo..

Just received mine and took a few shots over the weekend. Very nice wide open.. CANNOT expect much more at this price. Actually there is nothing to compare it to at this focal length.
