Last time I needed to get a lens repaired I used a web form to get things started. Today when I google for Canon lens repair I get to a page that then asks me for a "model name" and when I type in anything it punts me to a 1800 number.

Am I missing something ?

the link I found is

I punched in a 35mm f/1.4 pretending it was under warranty and I was given a list of three repair locations and addresses, phone numbers, and the ability to print a shipping label to whichever one I wanted to select.

I just the send the product to a Canon service center with a cover letter and they will service it. I include a copy of the invoice If the product is under warranty.

Try "TS-E 24mm f/3.5L II" using the capital letters, hyphen, etc. (Also, it's "lens," not "lense.") The computer will send you to the 800 number to talk to a real person if it doesn't recognize the text string you enter when compared to its own database.

That's an excellent idea; it reduces mistakes and time spent keyboarding. (Memo to Chuck Westfall: Drop-down lists!)

actually "its there". When you start typing something it understands the drop down list appears. That being said, you have to at least start typing something it understands -- in my case, "TS" starts the magic
