| p.1 #1 · New Dell U2711 with dead pixels | |
I just got a new Dell u2711. WOW, it's huge, altho I didn't realize it doesn't go into portrait mode.
I have found two dead pixels. When on a black screen, they are not visible, but on white or any lighter colored screen, I can see them. Looks like a TINY speck of dust. I actually find dust on the monitor larger than the dead pixels. One is toward the middle, and one is off to the right. You can barely see them, as anal as I am about these things, I think I can just forget about them. I haven't even checked if I can return for two dead pixels or not. I know they cover stuck or bright pixels, but maybe two dead is not enough for return. Anyways, would you guys end up exchanging it? I plan to calibrate it and make sure there is no color shifts or anything, which would be MUCH worse than 2 dead pixels.
Also, if I buy monitor mount, I could then use it in portrait mode, right? I assume I would just go into the desktop settings and change it when needed?
