I haven't posted a whole lot this year, as I've been travelling a lot for work and have around 250gigs to process. Now that i've moved into a new role, with little travel, I've finally got around to processing and am working my way backward.

The following shots were shot from my favourite winter shooting location in Banff, during our four day stay over xmas.

I love the icy foreground and the inclusion of the moon in these. The light kissing the mountain tops in the first one is pretty sweet.

Hey Khurram,

That is great to hear you have a bit more time to work on your photos. I like both of these. Very nice compositions, and I like the variation in color between the two.

Love 'em, especially number one with the slight glow reflected.

Love them both, Khurram. The first is definitely my favorite. I'd be really tempted to relocate the moon, and also clone it into the reflection. I agree with you about Vermillion Lakes, and Mt. Rundle. Excellent choices for a favortie shooting locale.

Cheers,
Ed

Love both! They give the landscape both an epic feeling and a tranquil feeling, at the same time... something that the landscape definitely oozes in person, so good job capturing it. I think they're both a bit heavy handed on the right side, might crop a tad off.

I appreciate all the feedback! During this trip with the wife and kids, I pretty much only slipped away only for a bit on my own at sunrise and sunset, but it turned out pretty good for a "non-photography" trip!

Thanks formthe feedback, as far as moving the moon, I'm still in the camp resisting manipulating the scene.
I was hoping to capture the full moon a couple of nights later, but it was overcast and would have risen much further to the left.

Thanks for the suggestion, was considering that myself, but wanted to keep as much of the hoar frost as possible., But i Will see how it looks with a bit more crop.

Gorgeous! Particularly the first. I know what you mean about the moon - I deleted a small moon from one of my images once and I still feel a bit uncomfortable about it ;-) Lizzie

Hi Khurram,

I like the wide view of the scene, the ice and the reflection. The glow in #1 is very hard to resist! Nice job.

Love the sweet light in the first one. Would make a beautiful large canvas print to display over your couch.
