I shoot against brick walls whenever I find them, clients like 'em. However, unlike Jefferies, I don't like that you put her in that spot with the wire accent as it pulls attention away from your subject. That's one of the beauties of shoot a subject against a brick wall is that there is really nothing to pull the attention away from the subject. You've captured a nice expression here, looks good. A few minor nits - I don't think you should finish it at the bottom by cropping through a button or a pocket flap or even the half cuff of her right arm. Another minor thought - if her left arm were posed more forward, you'd likely crop more off the right side. Then you'd compose with her off center a tad more. I see no problem with the brick wall.
