I shot the pre-race testing for this year's Rolex 24 at Daytona to be held Jan. 26-27. Quite a large turn out. Here are a few shots from the weekend.

Fabulous captures! Great variety!

I used to live in Daytona (ERAU) and the 24 makes for a very loud weekend for most of Volusia county!

Great shots, a few of my friends were down there covering it also... I haven't covered the Rolex series in a few years, it's making me want to go back.

I usually go no slower than 1/25 for pans and the majority of mine are around 1/50-1/60 so I'm enjoying your 1/10-1/15 pans.

John, the one of the #6 car with the Daytona wall in the background and the one with the infield lake are stunning. I see the cones and poles got the best of you too.

You know, I used to worry about cones (and poles).... but at the end of the day, they're part of the track/scene/event... so, I just do what I can do to make them work. If I can work them out of the shot, I'll certainly do it... but, a place like Daytona.. they're just more of the ugly.

I usually don't like tilted compositions but in these action shots I think the tilt adds so much to the actions and you have done a great job at capturing the pictures too
