For those who have owned both the Nikon 35mm f/1.4 G and now this lens ... please explain why the Siggy is better? Is the exposure consistent on the D800?
All of what hijazist said. Its a truly sensational lens and I'd go as far to say all things considered its one of the best lenses on the planet. The fact that it is significantly cheaper than the Canon, Nikon, Zeiss versions just boggles the mind. I've just traded in an X-E1 with Fuji 35mm f1.4 (another astonishing lens) to buy a X100s as I wanted the Fuji styling, form and wonderful colours but so far I am largely disappointed as the equiv 35mm angle of view at its max aperture of f2 is lame in comparison to the Sigma at f1.4.
The Sigma, I believe, is what they call a no brainer.
