The sports model looks very good but I suspect the price will be over $2000.

Excellent! I would be very interested in the 17-70 as a general zoom.

The 120-300mm also looks like a great alternative to Canon's offerings.

The current version is $3k at B&H, so I suspect you're are probably right

I can't tell what is the difference between the "Sports" model and the current one.

Will the 17-70 work on a full frame body or is it crop only?

This one could be quite nice as a travel / landscape lens, if it is sharp across the frame.

Edit: Never mind. It's APS-C.

That dock looks like it can keep a cup of coffee warm.

The RRP in UK is 3600 GBP for the 120-300. But I would guess the real price is below 3000

The "DC" in the model name = APS-C image circle coverage only.

If Sigma's 17-70 performs anywhere nearly as well as the 35mm 1.4, I sense that it will become the Canon 17-55 killer.

I don't see the difference between the two 120-300s

The inside (glass) and MTF charts looks exactly the same. The outside a couple of new features and the USB dock are of course new

The 120-300 looks awesome, it would go well with my Sigma 35! Hopefully it won't break the bank!

120-300 is basically optically the same but with more robust mechanics AFIK.

It looks like it has micro ultrasonic motor with rotating focus ring, not the proper USM/HSM. See the focus scale on the ring itself, not under a proper separate window?

As long as your cup has a proper bayonet mount...

Focus limiter is one. Though I never quite understood what made them omit it from the original model, or at least the OS one. Any other features of note?

Well, so far there have been much less complaints in the case of 35/1.4 than with 50 and 85 lenses...

These new "Art' lenses are tempting me to try a sigma lens again for the first time in years! Sweet looking designs and if the quality and sharpness is like the new 35mm is supposedly they will be awesome.
