Not too shabby for a 12 pounder. Course my 300 2.8 hanging off the end of the D3s and tc makes for a workout, too.

I rolled that way couple of years ago, the 300 is actually easier (better balanced) to handhold...but I need
f2 for those poorly lit arenas. It's great we can use the chub SO many ways. Thanks, Wayne.
LMAO Now that is funny! Just how much does the beard weigh?
I suspect TM is more burly than many of use ... I sometimes hand hold my D300 +grip + 300 f/2.8 but not for long ... I usually use a monopod .... I do need to look into a Bushhawk ... and some leasons from TM
Beautiful stuff BTW TM
Not very much...take a half dozen steel wool pads and pull 'em apart some. Now hold them up to your face and you'll
have an idea. Appreciate it, Andre. Shoot me a PM onna B'Hawk when you're ready.

'monkey! your d700 didnt self destruct into a million pieces when the d600 and d800 were released? good thing, since it still takes ridiculous photos. let me rephrase that, it still allows YOU to take some ridiculous photos...
Appreciate it, Rob. In fact I think it was jealous and really did a great job in da cold. I missed 1 shot in 198 taken.
Fast lil bursts of 2 or 3 @8fps...the D800 wouldn't have nailed as many perfect wing positions for me. Might have
to take the D2Xs out and show it some love in HSC.

Thanks Will, I will do that when I'm ready ... I need to flesh out a lens and possibly a 2nd body first ... but the B'Hawk is on the short list.
Sure appreciate it, Gary. Couple of reasons...
My D800 has the new Sigma A 35 f1.4 'glued' to it
I like my 8 fps for BIF way too much. It was that or the D3, and I just grabbed the closest one from the safe.
