p.1 #7 · How many photos for selection? | |
Wedding was shot, I had about 900 images. I culled it to 400, their packaged called for 120 images. So they can buy extra image (most times 20 - 50 extra). So I give the B/G a greater than 3x selection to package ratio.
That's an interesting approach. I'm not sure what the best way to handle that might be. I assume the goal is to upsell them to a larger number or the entire finished collection? I think you're right to aim for a pool of no more than, say, 400 from which to select. More than that and they'll start to blend together, but if the price is right, they might just buy the entire collection.
I'd be curious if you have time to explain, why do you package your product this way, as opposed to offering the full collection? Or did this particular client just happen to select a stripped-down option?
