p.1 #1 · i7 3770 vs 3820 for photoshop?

Looks like the 3820 has slightly better specs. Is it worth paying $400 more for a computer with the same configuration? i.e. will I see a difference in performance in photoshop?

The boost from Ivy over Sandy probably cancels out the extra cashe. I would get the I7 3770k and run it at 4.4 save your $400 for something else.

PMJI,

This doesn't even have an SSD. Adding one will do far more for system responsiveness than any CPU increase.
The video card is fine for PS, but is a $45 item that will not run modern games worth a pinch.

IMO, it seems rather overpriced for a monitorless box.

i'm planning on adding a 256GB SSD. I know the video card is crap. I have a nvidia quadro 2000 i can put in it but I'm wondering if there is something better.

In terms of price, can you point out anything with a better price/performance ratio?
