I would like to know if anyone has tried the 21 Biogon on the Nex6?
With all the interest in the Nex development - the Alt crowd doesn't seem to be feverouly adapting to the Six.
seems like most everybody that has one says it is very similar or identical in performance with rangefinder wides to the 5N. so the 21 biogon should perform well, but still have a little color shift and corner smearing on the 6.
i think the reason your not seeing many people with the 6 here is that most people who are interested in the NEX already have gotten a 5N or 7, no need to jump on every upgrade immediately even if the 6 is where sony finally got it right.

This about sums it up. I got a 5N with EVF as an upgrade to the NEX 3 I had at first, so a 6 does not make sense - rather get one or two of these Contax lenses ( I have the 90 already and the 45 is tempting as is the 28, but they start to get expensive )
Thanks guys for the Nex responses!
For late adopters - the SIX is looking pretty good - this adapter may make it look a little better.
In keeping with the OP's post towards the e-G adapter. Jim B put up a post a few months ago showing the Nex 6 (vs. 7) improvements using the ZM 25mm - just curious if the 21Biogon might be looking that good.
I got a Nex-6 weeks ago to replace my wife's 5N (faster AF, built-in EVF), but was only just able to give it to her (and hence really try it out myself) for Christmas

Can one focus manual by wire the AF lenses on the NEX cameras ?
Just asking because I never had a AF lens on my NEX cameras.
Yes, not a problem.
It seems it will be available in February. However, it won't be possible to use the Contax G 21 2,8 without cutting off its baffles, which is very disappointing.
Or available in Feb?
“We believe we can launch this adapter around Feb. One more thing, Contax G16mm and G21mm cannot used on this CONTAX G – SONY NEX AF adapter. If you want to use G21 with this, you must cut the rear lens flange. G16 cannot use on it. In future, international version is renamed as “DEO TECHART” or “DEO”” http://www.sonyalpharumors.com/

Sebboth, just curious, what has the 6 gotten more right, thanks joanlvh

I can think of two things:
- EVF improved over the one in the 7 and the one for the 5N/R.
- using 16MP sensor (same as 5R?) so less smearing and color shift than the 7.
not sure what this means, but appears to be a reply on the sonyalpharumors site regarding manual focus,
mxcamera 2 weeks ago
Yes, it have something like Minolta power zoom / Panasonic Lumix X 14-42mm pancake electric MF switch on the adapter.
i actually asked about MF on youtube and maxcamera replied that there would be an MF over-ride on final version of the adapter, but it sounds like it will be focus by wire.... I'm still interested ... would love to be able to slap a 28/2.8 on my NEX-6 and bring it out with me when hanging out with friends... I tend to get lazy and not want to MF when Im hanging out vs out on a nature/photo hike. As for the future FF NEX, last I saw (on sonyalpharumors) was that the camera would be compatible with E and A mounts.... makes me think that this adapter would still work, though how the contax lenses would perform on an FF sensor is a different story
