Christmas with us on this earth. As my grandmothers health continues to go downhill. I could tell it in her voice as my kids and myself went for a visit yesterday. She whispered in my ear yesterday " Im tired and ready"
Lost my Mom 5 1/2 years ago, at age 85. She had said the same things, she was just so tired and wanted to sleep. God bless your Grandmother, and your Family. Thank you for sharing.
I was raised by this women ,I lost my mom when I was 7.Im now in my 40's and looking back this has to be on of the strongest people I know. She lost her only daughter(my mom) to a senseless crime, and still had strength to go on.
Being ready is not necessarily giving up. I hope I live my life and enjoy my family and others and eventually will feel ready and at peace with my end. I applaud your grandma and hope you have many great memories.
God Bless you all, I can remember being in the same situation, when my dad said he had a dream that he would not live to see the millenium, he left us on 12/31/1999.

Mark... I am truly very sorry to hear about the passing of your 'beloved' Grandmother...
You mentioned to all of us here on FM earlier... About how your Grandmother was one of the 'Strongest People' that you have ever known and how she still had the 'Strength to Go On'... In times of enormous difficulty! (She sounds like she was a Real 'Trooper' and... Good for her!).
Please remember in the days, weeks and months ahead Mark... That just like your Grandmother, *** YOU TOO *** have inherited this same 'Special Gift' from your Grandmother and have learned to acquire this very same reserve of 'Inner Strength and Fortitude' -- In the last 40+ years of your life...
Mark, you are 'Without a Doubt' an extremely 'Strong Person' and the sharing of your personal story... Has *Already* proven this -- To ALL of us!!!
Thank-you once again... For sharing your 'Touching' story with all of us here at the Fred Miranda community.
