It runs through NZ first! I know the water isnt flat, but the angles work..

(note the 6d doesnt have a spirit level...)

6d has a built in electronic level?

Ah only a single axis one. I assume it doesnt work in the viewfinder only live view

Yea, that is one feature I would love for it to have, but I think we gave that up for the user replaceable focus screens... I'll take that trade!

Actually it does work on the viewfinder as well through a custom option. But it's single axis...

Will check it out, horizon only is fine for me, useful when its very dark and you want to get it lined up (if not accurate its better than guessing).

Well sure enough. I guess I should have RTFM. Decent implementation while still letting us change screens.

Under CFs, you reassign your DOF preview button to activate the level function, it uses the exposure meter in the vf as the level indicator. Cancel it with a half depress on the shutter. Works for me because 90% of the time I care about level I have a lens on the camera that wouldn't react to the DOF preview anyway.

Canon 6D Zeiss 80/2.8 ISO 6400

This 6D is exactly what I expect out of a camera. Canon finally did good in my book. I do not regret this purchase at all.

Sam, thank you for posting your images...WOW...is an understatement, those are insanely clear at ISO 6400 and 12k. This makes me quite happy, heck extremely excited, my f4L glass should do well in day and evening sports stadium, indoor club/studio/theater event shooting.

That Zeiss glass looks mighty fine, the 6D seems to handle it well, are you using the standard focusing screen or perhaps the EG-S screen?

Spring can't get here soon enough...the 6D looks yummy
Jerry

I shot this one with the custom white balance setting.
Never used that with my previous camera, it's very efficient.

1/40s f/2.8 iso 1600 with 40mm STM
