So I decided to post here again. I am not good at staying away permanently, but I guess I needed a break. Life is busy here - we found out in October that we're expecting our 10th baby in early July and are very excited! I'm taking the winter months off from shooting client sessions to just focus on some projects I've wanted to do around the house as well as just some fun, personal projects. This was the first of those projects. I got together with another photographer/friend in Las Vegas and we headed to Mt. Charleston for a snowy Christmas inspired session. We had a lot of fun and despite the frozen toes and fingers, got some images I love of my oldest daughter. She is a great sport about this stuff...it was in the 20's and freezing but she held it together and was so composed the entire time. Anyways, just a few faves. I know she has pretty much the same expression in all of these and perhaps I should work on that, but a big smile just didn't seem to fit the mood we were going for. Natural lighting on all of these except for #2 in which I incorporated OCF.
As always Lisa, I love the work you do with your daughter. I find when working with mine I can step out of the box and experiment some...when she is willing. I find it a great way to learn.
Welcome back, Lisa, so good to have you back! I hope we get to see a lot of your personal projects as you work on them. Tough to pick a fave... 5, 6 and 7 just kill it for me. No. 1, of course. I imagine it's very difficult to decide what prints get to go up in your house, and then how long do they stay up before they're replaced by another gorgeous shot?
With 10 children, I can imagine there will be no shortage of available models ....but with exemplary photos like these I can also imagine lots of young folks outside of your family wanting similar photos.
Keep up the good work!

I will add my praise, too. Your work is stunning. The colors, the snow, your daughter, and the props work beautifully together.
As the oldest of nine children, I find it amazing that you can raise a large family and still produce pictures like what I have seen here. My congratulations!!
