I decided to give one a try so I picked one up today that was in stock.

No EVF in stock, that may take a while to get. If you know where I can get one please let me know.

I needed something to do over my Christmas holidays.

Got my EVF this last week from Sony online.

I confirm in M mode Auto ISO exposure comp works just fine (until it reaches 6400 iso)

Yep, so along with Leica and Nikon hey join the club of companies that do it right, at least in this regard. Baffling that Fuji doesn't.

It could be argued that Pentax is the only company who truly does it right by offering a dedicated TAv mode instead of building automation into the manual mode - and they have been doing this for a long time now.

Thanks Wayne, I ordered mine on line just now from Sony.ca, since I couldn't find it anywhere else in stock.

I'm really enjoying the RX1 and I would assume the experience would be even better with an EVF.

I am very impressed with the RX1, its better than my old X100. I think the reviews I have read out there like this one and Steve Huff's, (except for KR of course) are pretty close to what I am experiencing, at least so far. Every day I am more and more impressed.

Also add I am enjoying the RX1

Its not perfect, but its the best small camera I have used
I would recommend that anyone who finds the initial cost a stretch should think twice before buying, as with anything.

Its also a camera that requires experience to get the best from, its actually anything but a P&S

The only thing, apart from lack of charger (£70 anyway with an extra battery included from amazon.de) is that packaging. Not bad for a Nex but hardly luxury. Perhaps someone charitable could send Sony a Fuji 35mm lens box through the post

The smallest and the priciest camera I'll eventually purchase .
