It is my understanding that Leica M has been very recently given to couple dozens of selected photographers outside the factory. Has anyone seen any samples yet besides these?
Saw this earlier today and I have to be honest and say I don't really like what I'm seeing. Do the raws from the current Ms look flat SOOC? I usually see very vibrant images coming out of the M9 or M8 but these samples look pretty flat

It's all so pointless for people to get worked up about any files before anything official is posted. Isn't that always the case? As someone who's spent a lot of time with previous Leica digital releases like the DMR, M9 and S2, I've always liked Leica's take on their final images. My opinion is that upon release, the images will be excellent.

I agree Kurt.... I am confident this camera will be a winner.
I spoke with Justin Stailey of Leica USA Tuesday of last week when I visited. To the best of his knowledge Leica still had not completed the firmware for the new Leica M. He also believes that Leica is still on target for the release in the first quarter of 2013.
Nice find. I thought they were keeping image samples off the web until firmware was complete. Anyhow, I don't think these samples can be taken too seriously at this point.
