Just wondering about the setup...the bounce seems to throw a lot at the wall compared to the floor. Your stands seem hotter than the floor action resulting in, I'm sure, some more distracting backgrounds.

It seems like it's a white roof - any luck bouncing it off the ceiling, aiming to have the lights hit more towards the top of the key? Might help drop the light off the stands a bit?

The strobes are angled so they bounce 'roughly' toward the top of the key. Each is aimed just to it's side of the center line to try to keep the sideline area will lit as well. The lights have 7" reflectors (that are pretty wide), which accounts for the light spill on the wall. each light is maybe 18" away from the wall. I have ordered sports reflectors to use with these lights (if they fit), which would tighten the beam and hopefully put more light on the floor.

They look good to me. It's tough to dial in decent light fall off in a small gym like the one your shooting in, especially when the seats are right on the base lines. Sometimes if you get the angle right you can get some degree of fall off from the floor to the stands on an upper level or to the other end of the court but in my experience, in order to get consistent light on at least half the court from base line to base line I have to expect some spill into the stands. I just try to find an angle to compensate for the background.

Norman ML400 monolights.

and by the way, the Buff Long throw reflectors do not fit them. I knew that was a stretch.
