Sorry, I don't. Ironically, though, I've been considering a 1.4TC III. I have the 1.4 version II and have been wondering how it stacks up to the III. Would you mind sharing your take on them, please?

This topic comes up on a regular basis. I believe here is the most recent thread on that :https://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic/1151054/0?keyword=Canon,2X,TC#10983986. Have fun!

I see that Jim added another link, too . Between the two, you have sufficient reading material, I would say.

I'm beginning to suspect AF wise, the mk III extenders work worse than the mk II on mk I superteles. My results with the mk III TC's have been much worse, bith 1.4x and 2x.

You're most welcome.

As my better half often says, I am a legend in my own mind - for sure.

I'm feeling the same with the 2x II vs. III on my 500/4L IS Mk I, but I don't often use the 500 + 2x for dynamic situations. For static situations, the Mk III is better (period). I haven't noticed an accuracy difference for dynamic subjects with the 1.4x III on my 500/4L IS Mk I, which I often use.

For me, the biggest "step forwards" has been the 1DX - it's awesome for dynamic subjects, even at very high ISO in very low light (despite recent comments on a recent thread). It's OK for static subjects, too (just kidding - it's awesome here, too).
