I had a look around and I didn't see a thread specifically for car photos, so I hope everyone doesn't mind if I start one...

Wow, that's a great shot! I've got a 1:18 model that's exactly that color.

A suggestion: your link should say "high resolution" though, not "larger"...

1928 Packard in 2009 (this was at a car show, therefore I took the photo up close to crop out the people).

Thanks for the feedback on the posting tip! What's the recommended preview size? I have it at 1280 wide right now.

Sweet Packard!

If the file size allows it, I think that a tight crop of the front would look great highlighting the reflection of the branches above on the fenders and grill

I'm not sure which file you're meaning is 1280... your embedded image, I think? It is a bit big; the recommended size is 900 on the long dimension.

But that's unrelated to my previous comment... when I clicked on the link, I wasn't sure what I was going to see, and I was delighted to see that it was a high resolution version, not larger; that's what I meant...

Thanks Joe. I thought it looked better with all the curves on this 1939 Delahaye.

Yes, the 135 F2 L is a fantastic lens, and it turned out to work really well for automotive photography.

Love that Chevy pickup. Would like to see a very tight crop on this one.

The only thing better than a cherry red early '50's Chevy pickup is a '55 Chevy Bel Air two door hardtop! Hint...Hint...Hint...
