Not so much a landscape as it is a skyscape. This is the smallest updraft I have ever seen. It was about 15 miles out in front of a good sized storm that I was approaching from the northeast. It was taken with a Sigma EX DG 28mm f1.8 on my Pentax K-5. Comments and eviscerations welcome in equal measure.

That is a nice skyscape, very different looking clouds.

Nice. Usually run into those when the cap takes over and the storms shrivel up. Usually see them in the western plains, where you've got a lot of dry air and are more likely to see LP supercells.

Looks deliciously menacing, and I really like the POV. The delicate grasses are the perfect counterpoint to the enveloping sky.

Thanks for noticing that philtax. When shooting the sky there is a tendency to want to do it standing, but I like to get down low for that very purpose.
