I recently switched to Nikon and I was looking for a forum to start posting questions and a few of my shots since the old forum I was on didn't allow Nikon pictures on their contests and challenges.
A friend of mine recommended this site so here I am :-) .
I just finished building my line up so I might be annoying you guys with a few different shoots now and then.
Just a couple of my first shoots (macros) with my new (to me) D5100. Really enjoying my switch to Nikon.
Welcome to the forum miguellara! I think yo are going to enjoy it here, it's a great place and people here are very helpful and friendly. I am a bit new myself.
Very nice shots, though the subject looks very venomous For posting your pictures, check out the Forums page. There is a forum for each type of photography so for example you can post your Macro shots in the Macro forum. This way, experts on that topic will comment on your photos and give you invaluable advice.
Also, check out the Buy&Sell forum. You will find great deals there to buy and sell anything you need at great prices. But beware of NAS!
I just found the macro forum :-), I guess this shots could belong there. Hopefully I don't creep out anyone with these little guy.... not everyone likes spiders :-p .
Tks for the welcome and from now on I will use the sub-topic forums to post my shoots in their proper theme.
Miguel, welcome to FM and welcome to the Nikon forum. As long as the gear is showing off some aspect of Nikon cameras, then you'll not find too many complaints about posting pics in here Although the presentation forums are more for picture posting, I myself post pretty much to this forum
Welcome to FM, its a wonderful place. Really like the photos, I'm just starting to get into macro photography myself and this place has been a gold mine of information for me.

Welcome, Miguel. Nice colorful 1st post, on a cold winter-like day The flash does seem a bit 'hot' to my old eyes, if you don't mind me sayin' so.
The joys of living in California... nice weather all year around .
Of course I don't mind... that is one of the reason of posting images here... so I can get some C&C from a different perspective...

Actually last night I found a great deal on my local Craigslist for a d7000 for $600 with about 6,000 clicks and in excellent condition with box and everything...
I posted my D5100 right after and it sold for $400 a couple hours after I posted it. I am also selling my SU-800 for $200 now that I have the in-camera commander for my flashes.
So I no longer own the d5100 and I just became a d7000 user :-) .....
and the lenses I have are:
Nikon 35 1.8g
Nikon 50mm 1.8g
Nikon 105mm 2.8 VR
Sigma 150-500mm OS HSM
2 x SB-600
