0. Glass in perfect condition
1. No paint chip/visible scratches on barrel (small paint chip/scratch on the foot is okay for VRI)
2. Has a SN# ending with 8

The SN is just a personal preference and has nothing to do with the actual lens and I haven't heard anything about batch difference or anything like that.

I have a Nikon 70-200 vr2 for A great price! I just checked and the serial number doesn't even have an 8 anywhere. I can make my price end in 8 though.
