I was up in the mountains chasing Elk over the Thanksgiving weekend and took a picture of a water fall with my phone that I had not seen before do to the fact we had received allot of rain that week. In the past It had only been a trickle.
I posted the phone picture for some friends to see, and one asked the name, I said Horsetail falls and my buddy posted this link to NW water falls listing info on it and others in the area. http://www.waterfallsnorthwest.com/nws/falls.php?num=3203
I then made it my mission to find DEVIL CREEK FALLS which was close, but I had never seen before.
It was only 10 minutes from a main logging road and was quite pleased to spend some time shooting here as the previous rain made it a pleasure to shoot as the Elk were sparse.
Here's 2 versions form that day.
C&C Welcome.

Wow, what a nice waterfall, and two really good shots. On #1, you might consider a crop to eliminate the sky. IMO, it isn't a problem, just doesn't add much.
Wow, both are stunning! I really like the forground color in the first image. I also like how the water appears to be disappearing into a void. Fantastic!

Just wonderful! Such a terrific location, and not one I have seen before. It's incredible how the trees seem to be growing right out of the rocks. Nice find and well captured!
