The Canadian Rockies were formed by the incredible forces of plate tektonics- aka "continental drift.
The layers of rocks were shoved up, turned, twisted; and then eroded by eons of rainfall and the carving actions of glaciers.
Along the road to Malign Lake- near Medicine Lake.
The light was good that day.

Ansel himself would have done something involuntarily in his shorts if he'd been there.
I hope I get to see such a dramatic scene myself someday, let alone photograph it.
Is this converted or shot in B&W Charlie?

I do prefer the color one here Charlie, as it gives a bit more shadow detail. I know its blasphemy to suggest, but a bit less contrast (in the shadows) might be nice. Very powerful image.
