(Title changed from club to tool)
Not sure what the club was used for, since spears were the weapons of choice for the warriors (all men).
Slide image taken in a Maasai Village in the Serengetti.
On closer examination, I think there's a shaped stone on the end, so this was probably a farming implement.
Although the Maasai were warriors-turned into cattlemen (job for the men), they likely did some vegetable gardening near their villages. And that would be the work for women and children.

Looks like a hand plow Charlie. She looks a little shy.

In a photo rich environment like this, you probably were shooting fairly fast. My only nit is her feet cut off in the frame. Must have been quite an experience.

Thanks, Steady, Douglas and Bert.
I agree about the hand plough.
And the nit. The truth is that I sometimes cut off feet because I'm fixed on people's expressions and don't notice when the feet slide out of the frame. And yes, I was shooting fast. Although we had paid to enter the village and wander around for an hour and the people seemed okay with us taking their photographs, I tried to squeeze in a lot of pics of things and people- and each "people shot" was a mere 10-20 seconds in the making. No excuse - but true .

The colorful clothing is amazing to me. I wonder where (how) they got the dyes.

I was there 2 months ago and had the same question to the speaker of the tribe in Samburu. The answer, for a big group to hear, was candid and will surprise you :"clothing is new to us, just in the last hundred year or shorter. These beautiful fabrics are not made by us. We can't"

Thanks Dein, Nugeny and Derry.
I was going to say basically the same as what Nugeny said- but it's better coming from the Chief's mouth than from my educated guess.
All over the world, aboriginal people are sometimes given credit for things simply because they adopted them and have become famous for them, i.e.
1- Thin, closely-woven cloth of any sort.
2- Multi-colored beads used by the hundreds in the making of necklaces.
3- Fish wheels in North America.
4- Horsemanship by the American Indians (there were no horses in North America until the Spanish brought them).
And many more examples.
