Ah the days of those little yellow boxes. I have piles of them so helpfully labeled as "NH hike", "Fall" and such

Nice shot of the Reddish Charlie, I do hope you can find the dancing sets

Fantastic Charlie !!!! Can't wait to see the dancing ones. I am so envious . I hiked out with my 500mm yesterday through the sand and water for over 2 miles trying to find the egret. I found him but he was not hunting, only standing

So today, I am recovering from my trek with the heavy lens.

Charlie, your slides have really held the test of time.
Marvelous image...but I was wondering about the bird's odd name. Why "reddish" and not red or kinda red or somewhat red or almost red or not pink but not red either.
I'm not sure I've ever heard of a bird name that hedged like this one.
Is there a bluish heron, almost bald eagle...

I feel your pain, Birdie (not really

). But I had to expend energy for this shot, too. As I was driving through one of Florida's many refuges (where the birdies are accustomed to people's close presence), I had to stop my car, open the door and walk almost 23 feet for this image. The life of a wildlife photographer is a difficult one indeed

Eric- I'm the worst person to ask about bird ID. I thought my bird here was a red-neck southern (sorry about the redundancy

) egret. Then everyone called Birdie's birdie a "reddish" egret. How can I argue with everyone?
