""pretty cool" is probably the understatement of the month.

Beautiful and awe-inspiring come to mind.

Pretty cool yes!!! Framing is way too tight and the lighting is horrific.

Watching that video and seeing what mother nature can create is rather humbling. I'm amazed by how stable the cheetah's spine and head are while running at 60mph - they barely move.

The head is rock solid.... despite the fact that the spine is continuously winding up and unwinding, like a spring. It is amazing to see how little time is actually spent touching the ground.

What a beautiful animal. So graceful.

The quality of the video is absolutely wonderful. The focus and DOF were spot on. The timelapse at the end was interesting, and I was glad to see that the cheetah was allowed to whip that nasty furball as well.

Great video, interesting that mirrorless cameras commercials all over this page. Sounds like they are in troubles?

This video should become mandatory viewing for mechanical engineering students.
An incredibly sophisticated solution to the problem of terrestrial locomotion in a gravity environment with the objective of maximizing forward speed.

(Heck, come to think of it, only a few birds can attain this sort of speed in horizontal power flight.)

I thought the same as others about the head / spine stability.

I was also amazed at the stride length - rough estimate of 3 strides per second, so the fastest cheetah would've covered 100m in 18 strides. Usain Bolt did it in something like 40 strides if I remember the Olympic discussion correctly.

the math makes sense considering the Cheetah is about 2x times as fast.
