You guys are getting some great images out of this thing, but no excuses I guess ;-)
@sebboh: How are you finding the RX1? Any user tips?
i love the lens and most things about the camera. i think this will definitely be my main camera for a long time unless they some how manage to release the lens by itself for an ILC. not sure i'm the best person to ask for user tips since you want to use it like a rangefinder. i use mine almost entirely in manual focus with the focus assist zoom turned off (i basically only use AF for the times when i can't see the lcd). for moving subjects i focus by watching for moire in the area of interest or zone focusing if i'm ok with large dof. i currently have the c button set to AF/MF control hold, AEL button set to AEL toggle, left button set to focus magnifier, right button set to drive mode, and down button set to iso. i don't use a lens cap or a real hood (i got a sony knockoff one that came with the camera and fits great, but it's too big for me). i've been keeping a filter and 49-37 step-down ring on the lens and just stuff in my pocket/bag like that. no grip, case, or soft release yet. the gripless camera sees very comfortable to hold while shooting though a grip would make it more comfortable to hold when not shooting.
