I personally like the gritty look you get from the in-camera B/W with contrast +2. Great harmony with the Zeiss lens, in my opinion.

That wouldn't help since the focusing ring has no mechanical connection with the barrel. The scale is also completely off and "infinity" is waaaay beyond real infinity. This is why I never use MF if I don't really have to. It just sucks compared to a real MF lens.

So far MF has worked well the few times I have needed it (night shooting on a tripod), but I hope that Sony can fix it so that the camera remembers the focus when it goes into sleeping mode.
