Anyone have any input on this tripod? I was thinking of buying the 055 pro but for a lot less money this looks good. I don't have any heavy lenses so this might work
I have a 694 from many years ago and it was fine up to a 300/2.8 and a pro body. I would not put a 400/2.8 or 600/4 on it though. I'm not sure if the 294 is just shorter or if it has smaller diameter leg sections.
edit: The more I look around, I think I'd opt to pay the few bucks extra and get either the 190 or 055 series. It seems that the 290 series does not offer enough of a discount to make it worthwhile, IMHO.

I agree the 055 pro looks good but for about $50 more I can get the Feisol
