Scott; I like it. You are like the "Rust - Pro". I had to play with it in LR4. Image one is with a clarity boost of +50; Vibrance +25; & Highlights +25.
Image Two is my "Norman Rockwell - ish" Blended with your original at 50%..
I would like to say that I do not work on images to show some superiority, but because I have time on my hands and I love playing with the processing. Jim
I reworked - to me the visual blast of color detracts from the subject...cropped from top, dialed back saturation, mid-tone contrast bump, little clone/cleanup, little vignette...
Might not be in tune with what your visualization, but

Playing with my images is always OK. Its in my profile.
And I do it myself both as practice and to see if I can come up with either an improvement over the OP or a viable alternative vision.
I like both versions, including the Normal Rockwell blend. Despite the fact that I do not like Norman Rockwell. Maybe it works because this was taken less than 50 miles from the Rockwell museum in Stockbridge MA.

I always like a sharp everywhere well exposed image. Guess that's the techie in me. And this is one.
Glad I got the technical down right. Thanks for commenting Ben.
Bob,
Yes, a different vision.
And despite the bump in vibrance and saturation that I had made, I would say the reality was closer to my version! I am leaning towards your crop.

These subjects are fascinating but it is extremely difficult to capture well with the usual clutter strewn about. I think you did well but like Bob's tighter crop. You could try selecting the car and render the background out of focus which might help with the distractions.
