Years ago at a small-town rodeo in central Oregon.
All kinds of technical problems, I know.
Perhaps the pics convey some of the feel of rodeo.

Charlie, technical problem or not I think they are good action shots.

Thanks Tom and Chris.
Funny thing about bucking broncos: I was sitting on a wooden railing a few feet from where they were corralled and they looked as calm as any group of horses. But sit on them and they go nuts trying to buck you off.
BTW, One of the wranglers told me that bucking horses are specially chosen for that trait, and they travel from rodeo to rodeo as a group (or as smaller groups). Trying to buck cowboys on their collective asses is their job, and as long as they are good at it- they keep their job.
Same thing with rodeo bulls. Some ranchers specialize in raising the "bad guys" at rodeos.
It's probably easier with bulls because they're naturally a lot crankier than horses.
