New to photography. Bought a camera. Bought some lenses. Got the flash off camera. Lurked here. Read stuff online. Hesitant to post but eager to learn. C&C appreciated.
I like it. It captures the young ladies mood quite well and has an interesting mix of color. You might have framed it to include her legs and feet but that is just my opinion.

Very nice! I like the lighting very much! Care to share your setup?
A 5D2 and 70-200 2.8 IS II is a nice starter kit
Thanks for looking and for making comments. I love to learn.
The lighting was very simple. I used a 580EX through 24" soft box....and luck. A lot of trial and error with light positioning, power, etc.
Yeah, pretty cool starter kit for sure! I'm not one that likes to buy then upgrade later, easier to just buy what you want from the start.....unfortunately, "it will be a while before you get to buy anything else after this little purchase"...quote from my wife....
Very nice, beautiful color and lighting. I do wish it was either closer or included her legs. You could always crop it a little closer. Do you have some with a little smile?
IMO a terrific image, and a lovely, charming girl who is a natural before the camera.
If she's a relative- get a gazillion images of her whenever she seems in the mood.
She is gold.

Welcome! Really good image. I share the same philosophy on gears. I'd rather get the one that I want now than waiting years to get it and end up with the same product. It's a waste of time and possibly opportunities for great image.
