The second shot has some breathing room. But this is just me and my personal concept of how close a closeup should be. The next dozen people might all like it that way, even if they don't comment. I like the 2nd one better myself but in color, it has some really distracting background elements I could not avoid. Thank you for the feedback. I like the composition but not the colors of the more open crop. I suppose the other option is to clone out the grey blob (actually bright blue) in the lower right corner. I may try that and repost.
