The darkness, wet-looking reflections off the street surface- and stocking cap give the impression of winter and cold outside the snow belt.
The streaking lights indicate the dangers of crossing the street- especially for many of the homeless in our cities who sometimes pay little attention to speeding cars.
And there is the man himself and whatever the viewer guesses his situation to be- which can run the gamut of possibilities.
I love good street- and this is good street imo.
