Very nice, are the shots near 100% crop? Do you always focus on the eye of the bird?

These are not 100% crops. Somewhere around 40-50% crops. In BIF's you cannot get the focus to the eye. However, 400mm f5.6 give you enough DOF to get sharp focus for medium/small birds.
