p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Newborn Photography Pose

Hello everyone,
I need some tips from the newborn photographers out there. I have only done 4 newborn sessions so far but I have a couple more coming up in the next month and there is one pose that I have consistantly tried to get and am having difficulty with. Here is a link from another photographer of what I am trying to get: Newborn pose

Everytime I try to do this pose I cannot get the baby's head to stay in that position. Their face just goes forward onto their arms when I try this. Is this actually a composite like the hands under the chin pose or is there a tip to be able to do this that I am not aware of?

One more thing is I have tried the cheesecloth wraps and they never stay in place. Any tips for getting those wrapped so they will stay? Any tips or tricks that those of you who have been at this for a while can provide would be very helpful and much appreciated. Thank you!

She has a book(avail on her site as a download) you can buy for 89 dollars. It should tell you a lot of what you are asking. If it idoes, it would more than pay for itself the first shoot!

Newborns are soo fun. happy shooting
