I know every little about flashes had many over the years but never took the time to really learn how to use them. So I went on Ebay to pick up a cheap flash and got the 560II looks like a great flash and after I bought it I realized no TTL. Crap O LA, so tell me is this a big issue? I only plan on using in house and not very often

Personally, I think using a manual flash is the best way to really learn and understand how to use the light. Check out http://strobist.blogspot.com/ and the Lighting 101 section and start practicing.

but then again having full function capability (the ability to turn functions on and off and use them in various ways) has its advantages too.
lets face it "only have intentions" sentiments evaporate fairly quickly. as long as it integrates into the way you shoot its good. I choose components that allow me to fully integrate or use separately, as I need, capability, from the system I already use.

How much did you pay? Amazon has it for $59. Hardly a screw up at that price. maybe you will find out you want something a little more capable, but then I remember the old days before TTL capability.
EDIT> wow, just checked Amazon again and it's now $67.

I don't shop at Amazon I did pay a little more than $67 like $70 but didn't pay tax which I would do at Amazon. I won't use a flash all that often so I can live without TTL I am sure

I have a set of those flashes and like them. If you are comfortable dialing in manual settings for your occasional use, it will be a great flash. Otherwise, a TTL flash might be a better choice.
Kind of depends on whether you want a no-brainer flash or one that requires a bit of thought. There is a reason I also have a 430 EX II, sometimes the camera does a better job of thinking that I do when I'm hurrying.
