I have a portrait that I like a lot despite all the flaws. Probably I like it just because of the flaws.
I'm trying to figure out how to work it, here is my first version:

I know I was very slow, but it was actually setting my camera and this shot was not planned.

Canon 5D mark II with 50mm 1.8 1/40 sec f 2.0 ISO 125

Portrait crop would be a better choice for the image. You managed to keep the eyes sharp which is very important. I did a quick re-work pushing over toward a high key look. Thanks for posting the original.

I would crop it Square format, it would work really well in 5x5 format.
