Don't know about American ducks but if European ones fly off I only get butt shots.
Very nice set, Karl. I pick 5 6 11 as favorite.
Chris
Ya Chris it is all about the right angles on these to get the good shots. Most places I get to seems they fly up long before I am in shooting range, this area gives me a few good chances at least. Thanks for the picks and good words!

Karl,
A nice and variety set. All are good but my favorite is #6.
The Peanut Gallery method of identifying birds:
In the air- eagle.
On the water- duck.
Charlie
Hello Charlie, glad you have a favorite to enjoy and thanks on that one Guess we need more variety 'in the air'

A wonderfully varied set, Karl.
My picks are:
# 5-the bright yellow eye is quite a draw, and helps show up the flourescent highlights on the head
# 6-like the way you have captured the lovely limpid brown eye, and made the browns and darks rich and plush instead of dull and flat
#8-great close up of the coot with his ''loot''
# 10-really like the comp with synchronized poses of the swans
The last image is too familiar a sight here too-and looks like a recent''job''!

Really nice set, Karl. I'm liking the teal the best for some reason, maybe because I can almost hear the gurgling from your very very low angle.
Mark
Gurgle gurgle.............almost got all the way down on a few but the darn edges to this place don't work out that well. Gave it my best compressed crouch though
Thanks and nice to hear from you Mark

So glad it was a beautiful day for your day off, and yes... it was time for you to post some images again.
Nice job on Mr Mallard coming and going, nice wing spread and pose on the Mrs.
Love the Shoveler and the GWT in the pond... super detail and techs all around.
Looks like the Coot is gagging on grass.
I prefer #10 Swans over #9
Ooooooo... that Cattail is really well seen and captured buddy, detail is awesome, love the BG, and really diggin' the side-lighting.
I'm guessing Beavers got some serious chompers... cool to see their work.
Really cool set really well done buddy.
Here's hoping you get some more sunny days before winter sets in.
