Like some of you, I'm thinking about the new Canon 35mm f 2 and the new Sigma 35mm f 1.4. Could some of you who have a 35mm f 1.4 prime post the same shot at f 1.4 and at f 2.0? Among the examples, I would love to see some shots with the closest object near the minimum focus distance of your lens. Thanks!
Here's a couple of quick and dirty shots of a flower. First one is at f/1.4, the second is at f/2. I'm focused roughly at the same point, and virtually at the MFD.

Flickr doesn't show the same shot.
Thanks Erik. Those are pretty similar.
While you can use a 35mm as a sort of macro lens, most of the time you will be further away from your subject (at least I am). Bokeh becomes another story when doing so. Also the difference between f/1.4 and f/2 will be greater than in these comparison shots when doing so.
