As in my prior couple post, these are from the Chihuahuan Grasslands - which hold an amazing diversity of wildlife - likely more than any other place in North America when you include the surrounding mountain habitat. I am working to quantify that statement with an ongoing species list project, which takes in both large and small mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians.

Some really incredible stuff here!! The aplomado takes the cake for me, wow!!! However the last shot is also fantastic!

Thank you Ashley - I spend many months of the year photographing the wildlife there and it's quite a privilege.

Many thanks codroy, that shot was taken when smoke rolled in from a distant forest fire - which made for some unbelievable sunsets.

Love that snake in #2 slot. Actually, no, these things freak me out, and that photo just brings it too much to life

The peccary closeup is pretty darn cool as well
