I solved my problem with accidentally triggering the movie button on the 5N. I installed a 1mm X 6mm o-ring around the movie button. Cleaned the o-ring and camera surface with a lens wipe, then used a very light coating of superglue on one face of the o-ring and delicately applied it to the camera to encircle the movie button. Works like a charm. I can still use the movie button, but it requires a slightly firm push to trigger it. Cost 50 cents.
Fred - Yup. Us red-necks can pretty much fix anything with enough duck tape, WD-40, and super-glue. My fix is pretty much the same idea as the grommet approach, but I think an o-ring is slightly more elegant. Kinda red-neck chic.
