This oldy does not have any markings on it... If you know what it is then please "chime in" to enlighten me. Could it be a pipe holder with a cleaner rod? Thanks for looking.
I think it might be a Tinder Box. The rod on the right would be the steel striker. Grip it from the bottom, strike the flint on some combustibles and you've got fire.
Thanks for the replies! I did a Google on cinder box and various pipe/cigar ash trays and did not find anything similar. I am still thinking cigar ash tray (the metal rod would be to poke a hole in your cigar) or a pipe holder (metal rod would be to clean the pipe).
