I'm posting 2 photos that mean a great deal to me, especially at this time of year. The first is of my Grampa and Granny on their wedding day. Grampa served with the Canadian Armed Forces in WWI and was wounded in France. He received special permission to marry my Grandmother while on leave.
The second photo is my father who, at age 16, lied about his age to enlist with the Royal Canadian Navy. He shipped out of Halifax for overseas, just as WWII was coming to an end.
As you can see, I haven't touched up the photos much but someday I will.
By posting these photos, I'm saying 'thank you'. I personally would love to see others post photos of family who served, as testament to their bravery and sacrifice.
