| p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Hello : ) !!! - BatPac vs. P.C.Buff ?? - External Power supplies question |
This is Profoto BacPac:
These are the two external power supplies offered by P.C.Buff,
the manufacturer of Allien Bees:
The vagabond mini is offered in two different voltages. Depending
on your region, you buy the one according to the voltage of your
The other one, being discontinued, is this one. One can vary the
voltage. I like it more than the vagabond mini, but it is heavier:

I wonder if you consider any of the vagabond units from P.C.Buff
a good quality product, compared to the BatPac unit from Profoto?
Would you use any of these external power supplies from P.C.Buff
with an Acute Generator from Profoto? Is there any risk of
damaging the Acute Generator? The acute generators being
used at the studio are the Acute R 2400, and the AcuteB2 600Ws
Should people working with both currents, 110-120V and 220-240V,
get a vagabond mini with a 220V current, since the acute generators
can adapt their voltage to 220V? I also wonder if a 220V vagabond
mini can be charged under a 110V electricity current?
If you are using the modelling light, is there a considerable energy
drainage from an external power supply like the BatPac or any of
the vagabond units?
Thank you, kind regards,
