i would really like a 135/2.
adding that to my sigma 50 1.4 and the 35 1.4 that i am going to buy, all my photographic needs should be fulfilled for a while.
my sigma 50 1.4 has been my most trusted lens for a quite a while and performed exquisitely on three different canon bodies, so i am definitely going to stick with sigma.

400/5.6 OS would be great. I'd also be interested in 400/4 OS if the pricing would be between $2k-$3k. I there's gaping hole in the market for a mid-price telephoto lens after the supertele price inflation started. My guess is that a $2500 lens would have at least 10 times more potential buyers.

I'm sure various people have their reasons for never buying Sigma, but it's not as though every lens they make is a poor lens.
One lens I'd like to see them reintroduce is the 100-300 f/4, which was superb, if a bit overpriced at retail.
In order to avoid any misconceptions, I should qualify my earlier statement on page 1 about "not buying it regardless" of what it is; I do not have any issues with Sigma lenses per se -- I think they make some fine lenses, and I have seen hundreds of great images posted from Sigmas around here over the years (particularly some of the better primes they have made). However, as a manual focuser, the Sigmas cost more and offer me nothing I need as compared to equivalent (often better) manual focus primes from [insert lens maker].

500/5.6 OS or 400/4 OS will be great. I can sense many people are waiting for budget telephotos, because current price tag on Canon/Nikon's long lens is just ridiculous.

350/3.5 APO OS ... essentially a "little brother" to a non-existent 400/4.0
Mate it with an APO dedicated 1.4X @ 490/4.9 (500/5) or dedicated 1.7X @ 600/6 APO OS or dedicated 2.0X @ 700/7 APO OS ... how sweet would that be.
It could be kinda like a Sigma-ized version of Leica's modular system (for mere mortals).
Something tack sharp that would be an awesome field lens with slightly more reach than a 300, slightly less weight than a 300/2.8 and more than a stop faster than Canon's 400/5.6 or the slightly faster than a 300/4 from Nikon or Canon ... smokin' sweet against multiple options ... but prolly not gonna happen.
I like my 100-300/4 (+1 @ bring back updated version & add OS) and always have my eye on the 120-300/2.8 (weight), but I think they could make a killer prime that would then get Canon off their duff to give the 400/5.6 OS or bring out something faster than 5.6, but with no real competition/alternative Canon pretty much owns the 400/5.6 territory. Great lens, just a touch slow.
Why the odd apertures ... with today's ISO capabilities, a sacrifice of less than a stop to offset some size/weight is a trade I'll gladly make.

I'd like Sigma to make an impressive 50mm 1.7 or 2.0 prime lens using the same materials and QC they used in the 35 1.4 ART lens. The lens should be designed to deliver silky bokeh, great contrast, neutral color and excellent micro-contrast with a minimum of optical aberrations. DXOMark should rate this lens at 24Mpix on the D800 just like they did for the 35 1.4 (in the last 2 days). If they add a physical aperture ring and focus stop at infinity I will buy two

No one wants something a little more unusual? Doesn't a 400/3.5 sound better than yet another 400/5.6 for example?
You can write this down, I for once agree with Bif.
What is the point in asking for ANOTHER great medium/portraid length telephoto? The Canon 85-200 range is all excellent. Any gains at this point are minimal, and I'd rather have them from Canon, in the form of a weather-sealed L with IS and ring USM.
If there is anything I would love to see brought to the lens market, it is unique stuff:
400/3.5, or even a 400/4, that is more affordable than CaNikon equivalents.
Hell- a nice 300/4 even.
A good, modern 17 or 18mm prime. F2 would be amazing.
