John Richter Offline • • • • Upload & Sell: Off p.1 #1 · Franklin Falls, WA This was my first time visiting this falls. It was an overcast drizzly day. The water was low so standing in it with hiking boots was no problem.The low water allowed the colorful rocks to show through. The first is the overall look of the falls. If you go too wide, you'll pick up an overpass section of I-90 to the left. The second, from the side of the falls, was a little challenging. I had to sorta tuck myself in behind the rock wall on the right to avoid the mist. I still had to clean up some of the drops that made it to my lens. Just above the fall color is the I-90 overpass section. As always, I appreciate your thoughts. Thanks JBR Nov 09, 2012 at 06:37 AM

Your perspective in the first is complemented very nicely by the colorful rocks in the lower third. The draping green foliage on the left of the falls follows the same flow as the falls. Excellent shot. I also like your perpective in the second. Very nicely framed by the rocks in the foreground. The fall colors in the background make it complete. Well done. squirl033 Offline • • Upload & Sell: Off p.1 #13 · Franklin Falls, WA Franklin is a nice little waterfall, especially in late summer or fall, when the flow is lower and you can get down into the basin without getting soaked! it's worth a scramble to get up onto the ledge on the rocks on the "far" side of the stream... gives you a different perspective on the falls...
