I hope you don't mind more shots from Dauphin Island.

Just a few miscellaneous ones on the beach trying to show some of the beach with the subject.

Your suggestions and critiques are most helpful and appreciated.

Hope you enjoy!

Mind? Nah, I'm really enjoying these pix, Birdie. This set is spendid. The young Sanderling & the shell make for an excellent context shot, with the soft BG (& hint of a breaking wave) providing a big plus: it's my fav here. The Willet, though standing still, is confronted with such vigorous surf/spray that it gains a nice dynamic quality. And so does that Oystercatcher as it forages just ahead of the wave...this image is beautifully timed & captures the story perfectly.

You have certainly accomplished what you set out to do. I like seeing the environment but even more in this series there is a calm here that is most appreciated after the last 2 weeks. How I would love to be on the beach capturing images like this, or at least attempting to.

Thank you so very much ! I'm glad you are able to see what I hoped would be conveyed

Thank you so much Eric. What irony that the soothing, calming waves can become this destructive unstoppable force.

The action of the water is such a great addition to these fine images Roberta
Your opening frame is a delight and I'd be mighty tempted to get that one on a wall somewhere in the house

Very nicely done Birdie Sometimes it's nice to have some open crops. The first shot is prime example of why. This set makes me yearn for summer

Beautiful Birdie. Each as points of interest aside from the birds, but do those points do not detract from the bird. Well done.

I am going a little different take on #1 in comp as to what other see but then again go figure that Your theme title is The Waters Edge and for that reason I can see the inclusion of the top small amount of water but the dynamic pull of this image for me is the shell to bird and bird to shell and the the soft shimmers of color on skim water. I am seeing this much more a pano but will appreciate it too as presented

A bit picky here but #2 perhaps without the orange shell as it pulls me back instead of flowing outward.

no matter what, I like beach scenes and scenery!
